M. Francesca Passeri

Of Counsel

Francesca is an attorney at Goodwin Law, focusing on residential and commercial real estate transactions. She works closely with buyers, sellers, agents, and lenders to ensure each transaction proceeds in accordance with the agreed terms, guiding matters from contract through closing with an emphasis on enforceability, clarity, and efficiency. In addition to handling closings, she prepares key real estate documents, including deeds, leases, and loan-related instruments.

With over three decades of legal experience, Francesca brings a depth of knowledge shaped by a diverse and unconventional career path. Before entering the legal profession, she spent several years in theater and film production in Los Angeles, an experience that continues to influence her collaborative approach and work ethic. After earning her law degree, she operated her own practice in Iowa for ten years before relocating to Naples in 2004.

She has since practiced with several well-regarded firms in the area, building lasting professional relationships and a reputation for handling a wide range of real estate matters—from negotiating short sales to closing multi-million-dollar transactions. She is particularly proud of her pro bono work, including helping a client avoid foreclosure and remain in her home for several years, as well as her involvement with the Collier County Foreclosure Task Force.

Francesca’s approach to client service is grounded in communication and accessibility. She understands that legal processes can feel overwhelming and works to remove that barrier by clearly explaining each step and encouraging questions throughout. Known for practical, common-sense problem-solving and responsiveness, she makes herself available to clients and their agents when guidance is needed—even outside traditional business hours. Her ability to blend analytical thinking with creativity enables her to develop thoughtful, tailored solutions that align with each client’s goals, reflecting Goodwin Law’s commitment to flexibility and forward-thinking service.

Francesca earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa, where she also completed her undergraduate degree in Theater Arts. She is admitted to practice in Florida and Iowa and before the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of The Florida Bar, the Iowa Bar Association, and the Collier County Bar Association, and holds a Florida real estate sales associate license.

Originally from Iowa City, Iowa, Francesca enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, renovating vintage homes, and immersing herself in the arts through live theater and film. She is a longtime community advocate, serving as a Guardian ad Litem Child Advocate Volunteer in Collier County since 2018. She also helped found the Hardacre Film Festival in Tipton, Iowa—the first film festival in the state. She has also served as a licensed foster parent, reflecting her longstanding commitment to supporting children and families in her community.
